Dr. Ronald Yim graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto in 1990. Upon graduating, he invested countless hours into continuing his education in various disciplines in the dental field, which resulted in being granted a fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry in 2004. In addition to completing comprehensive courses in orthodontics (with the Canadian Straightwire and Functional Orthopaedic Programme) and implantology (with the Misch International Implant Institute), Dr. Yim achieved his Mastership status with the Academy of General Dentistry in 2011.
Dr. Yim has held various positions on the executive board of the Burlington Dental Academy since 1998, serving as President in 2001. Dr. Yim’s active involvement in organized dentistry continued when he served as a Councillor for the Ontario Dental Association from 2005–2009 and the Board of Directors from 2009-2015.
Currently, Dr. Yim treats long-term care patients at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital and is the Hospital Liaison for the Burlington Dental Academy. In recognition of his contributions to the dental profession, Dr. Yim was recognized with the Ontario Dental Association's Award of Merit in 2014 and has also received fellowships at the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Dr. Stan Dubickas
Dr. Stan Dubickas graduated from the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Western Ontario in 1981 and has been providing dental care to the Burlington community since 1995. Until 2014, Dr. Dubickas dedicated some time each year to providing treatment to the underserviced areas in Northern Ontario, as part of the Remote Areas Program of the Ontario Dental Association.
In addition to attending many continuing education courses over the years, Dr. Dubickas has also been actively involved in the profession as an executive member of the Burlington Dental Academy, serving as President in 2005. From 2006-2012, Dr. Dubickas served the maximum six years on the Ontario Dental Association's General Council. For his active involvement in the profession and community, Dr. Dubickas received the Award of Recognition by the Burlington Dental Academy in 2014 and the Ontario Dental Association's Award of Merit in 2016.
Dr. Amanda Wang
Dr. Wang grew up in Mississauga, Ontario and has settled down in Oakville, which she now calls her forever home. She received her Bachelor in Life Sciences at Queen's University in 2008 and her DMD from the University of Manitoba in 2012, and has enjoyed dentistry since. Right after graduating she worked several years in Edmonton, Alberta before deciding to move back to Ontario. She works with patients of all ages and has plenty of experience working with children and the elderly. Her speciality is primarily on the surgical removal of teeth (including wisdom teeth), but she is well versed in all other forms of dental treatment from restorative to cosmetic work, implants, dentures and Invisalign.
Dr. Wang has a great passion for knowledge and believes that continuing education is crucial in order to stay current with all the advances today's dentistry offers. She is a current member of SPEARS education for comprehensive and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Wang is a current member in good standing with the Ontario Dental Association and The Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.
When not practicing dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her love for travelling, meeting new people, and experiencing different cultures is what keeps her motivated in life. Aside from hiking and skiing, cooking (and eating) is her favourite pastime.
