Orthodontic Essix Retainer Case

This case was an example of what can be achieved without traditional braces when there is minimal crowding present. After approximately eight to nine months of treating a patient with an orthodontic Essix retainer in Burlington, we were able to achieve a nicely aligned upper and lower arch. Prior to initiating treatment, the incisal edges of the upper anterior teeth were very thin and chipped (due to the heavy function against the lower anterior teeth).

Treatment with the Essix retainers addressed the heavy function and achieved a nice alignment of the teeth. Some bonding of the edges of the upper anterior teeth were done to repair the chipped edges and produce a nice aesthetic result.
